The AFC was founded by a young woman that endured a knee disarticulation surgery at the age of 15. Limb loss is life changing and she was unable to find fitness opportunities that addressed her daily exercise and recreational needs. Our mission is to provide accessible and adaptive fitness and recreational opportunities to those living with life changing limb loss. We work to help them overcome confidence and endurance issues in a supportive and encouraging environment.
