Animal Advocates of Howard County

Our organization was born in 1994 with a small group of people determined to end the suffering we saw at our local animal shelter.We could see there were too many unwanted animals and too few homes, and we set out to change that.We use a 3-tiered approach that focuses on Adoption, Spay & Neuter,and Education,because one without the other two had been ineffective in creating permanent change.Our progressive approach works;we've expanded into neighboring communities and each year more animals are helped.
