The scholarship program is just one mission of the Double Angel Foundation, which was organized in 2000 to honor Dillon and Logan Dixey, two Parker brothers who loved baseball but tragically drowned after being overcome by carbon monoxide while swimming at the rear of a houseboat. DAF also promotes awareness about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning and constructed a baseball complex in Parker to provide more fields for youth to play the game.
