Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, Inc.
Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railraod, Inc. was incorporated in 1988. Since then, our volunteers have provided historic interpretation, restoration and preservation of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, built in 1880 along the border of Colorado & New Mexico. It is a 64 mile narrow gauge, steam operatied tourist railroad in the pristine high desert mountains. Our volunteers rebuild, restore and maintain railroad rolling stock and outbuildings and provide cleanup on the right-of-ways.
