Russian Gift of Life (RGOL) saves children's lives through heart surgery. Every year in Russia some 19,000 children are born with treatable heart defects, the most common of all birth defects. Less than half of these children are ever diagnosed. More than a third die before their first birthday. The majority of them die over the course of a few years. Our vision is that every child in Russia born with heart disease has access to the care they need to live a long and healthy life.
