Mermaid SANDS provides low-cost spay, neuter, vaccine & wellness service. It was conceived with the purpose of relieving the strains of the large number of new pet owners, following the COVID-19 pandemic, full-service veterinarians and animal shelters by creating a streamlined process for providing wellness and preventive medicine. The veterinary shortage and pet influx has impacted our community locally by resulting in reduced services available to the public from perennial non-profit organizations.
