The way science communicates is still rooted in 19th Century norms and practices. As a result, science doesn’t discover as much as it can, science literacy is becoming increasingly partisan, and public policy isn't as informed as it needs to be at this critical point in our global history. The mission of SCI is to help bring the 19th Century culture of communication in science into the 21st Century.
