Society for the Preservation of the 26 NC Troops

In addition to the living history arm of the organization, the 26th North Carolina also is actively involved in projects of historical preservation. Through cooperative efforts such as our ongoing partnership with the North Carolina Museum of History, the 26th NC has taken a leadership role in preserving aspects of North Carolina's history before it is lost to future generations. Our current project focuses on conserving the largest monument to one of North Carolina's leaders, Zebulon Vance.
