The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library
Since 1957, Friends of the New Orleans Public Library has been contributing generously and providing vital volunteer service to fill the gap where city funding ends. We financially support NOPL programs, purchase supplies, award scholarships, and provide grants directly to each of the 14 library branch locations. Friends also gives over 100,000 books annually to community schools, hospitals, nursing homes, shelters, prisons, and to other partnering groups.
