CHERUBS mission is to fund research, raise awareness and support families affected by the birth defect, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). CDH affects 1600 babies every year in the U.S. and occurs when the diaphragm fails to fully form, allowing abdominal cavities to enter the chest cavity and preventing lung growth. 50% of babies born with CDH do not survive. The cause is unknown. CHERUBS is a 5-star, Presidential award winning charity helping over 5700 CDH families in 61 countries since 1995.
