Guerrilla Gardeners of Washington DC

Guerrilla Gardeners of Washington DC improves public spaces, especially in underserved communities. Its all-volunteer team weeds and plants tree boxes, parks and other neglected public spaces throughout the city and recruits nearby residents to maintain the improvements. The organization partners with government agencies, elected officials, community and business groups, schools and churches to improve and maintain public spaces as well as build a sense of ownership and community around these spaces.
