Second Servings of Houston
Second Servings is Houston's only perishable food rescue organization. We pick up surplus food from over 400 food businesses (retailers, distributors, manufacturers, etc), and deliver it the same day, for free, to 140 local nonprofits. Our food helps nourish over 200,000 Houstonians annually, including seniors, veterans, at-risk youth, adults in recovery, the disabled, and many others. Redirecting perfectly edible food away from the landfill to the people who really need it makes so much sense!
